Richard Fivis
I bring a diversified background to SCORE. My interest in working and helping people comes from my early career in the hospitality business where I held executive and managerial positions in the hotel business. I have operated successful businesses as well as assisted in the sale and transfer of ownership of other bay area businesses. In particular, I owned a successful wholesale supply business on the peninsula for 20 years, sold it, and transitioned my skills to business brokerage, licensed by the state. Presently I am a CLPF - California Licensed Professional Fiduciary assisting seniors in the area of conservatorships, trusts, bill paying and other consulting services.

I have counseled and mentored over 700 clients since I joined SCORE in 2006. I have had the pleasure assisting many with their business plans, operations, brainstorming, accounting questions or just plain discussing the "what ifs". I have many startup and existing business success stories. Recent clients include a new food company, CORE Foods, specializing in protein bars, a hiking and yoga exercise business, in San Francisco, a Wine Bar, Fat Angel, in the Fillmore district and many other different types of small businesses. Recognized by SCORE national in the Client Success Recognition Surveys as a "City Planner" in 2015, as a volunteer with a total of 250-499 new client businesses started and positions created. Ranked Number 2 in the country.
